The Latest...
Hello to one and all. This summer sure seems to be flying by - literally. I can't get over how quickly things are going along.
We have made the most of the summer we have had so far. Janine and Kevin learned how to BOOGIE BOARD!!! What a hoot!! I'll gladly go again ANYTIME!! Soaked up the rays while they have been out and filled out a lot of paperwork!
Yes, that's right - paperwork. We have decided to apply for our Greencards here in the States. We went for our physicals today (all four of us) and Kevin and I are now known as human pin cushions! Well, that's what is feels like. But we all survived. Actually, the kids did GREAT, especially Alex. Please pray that these Greencard applications will be accepted for all of us. I think that's our biggest concern right now. We know that we can only leave it in the Lord's hands so we are asking our friends and family to remember us as well.
We also have listed our townhouse in Cloverdale. We had come to that decision a few weeks ago and then it became a necessity. So, something else that we are asking prayer for. We know that God has brought us this far and is leading us through this too. All part of the process. So, if you know anyone looking for a great townhouse, let us know. :)
Otherwise, we are all well. Alex has discovered that cutting his own hair can be quite exciting until Mom and Dad find out!!!! And Chelsie is enjoying learning how to 'build' things at summer camp. (She made a bedside stool/table last week - even used power tools! Cool!!)
Kevin has been very busy still at work. I'm always impressed at what he is learning and how quickly he adapts. He'll be at more training at the beginning of August and then in September too. Busy guy!
As for me, I've been just trying to keep myself busy. Always little projects going on.
Hope you are all well. We are VERY excited about coming to Vancouver in 3 1/2 weeks!! YEAH!!

Fantastic Weekend! Good Memories Made!
This is what we did this weekend:

She looks like ours, right? But she's not. Her name is Malley and these three were as thick as thieves!!! They wore each other out!
We house and dog "sat". We enjoyed the B&B atmosphere without the hosts or the price tag. :) We sat, relaxed, walked, slept, played together, went for dips in the hot tub, watched 'Finding Nemo' (a couple times) on the big screen TV, ate, etc. We didn't go anywhere, not once did the phone ring, we just hung out as a family. What better way to spend a weekend! The move here has definitely taught us to slow down and relax together. And we have fun doing just that!
Hope you all had a great weekend.
The kids are in day camp week #2 so I'm finishing up with Canadian taxes (don't get me started!) and starting our Greencard applications.
Once again, never a dull moment.
Talk to you soon.

Happy 4th of July!
Well, here we are on our second Independence Day in the good ol' US of A. Cheers to one and all!!
We are 'dog and house sitting' this weekend so we are heading out this a.m. It's not too far from where we live but a) they have a dog (something we have wanted for some time) and b) their house is HUGE with a large lot, play set, and hot tub (couldn't forget that part) :)
I'll post pictures next week. Happy weekend to everyone.
