Well, I finally did it!!! I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog and here it is! I'm so excited!
We have been here in Maine for 3 1/2 months now - still getting used to all the differences between North and South, West to East. Sometimes we feel like fish - or should I say 'lobstah' - out of water. But slowly, we are becoming acclimatized.
We have been making the most of our weekends - going on day or overnight trips around our state and the ajoining ones. So far we have been to New Hampshire - Storyland in N. Conway and Nashua, Vermont - for dinner and to say that we've been there :) and Massachusetts - Boston and Cape Cod...all the way to Provincetown. Check these out on Google Earth. http://googleearth.com
The kids are doing well in school and enjoy their new friends. This is our last week of school and then into the summer daycamps - big thing here. It will also be Alex's first experience with taking the bus to school everyday. Should be interesting. Chelsie is signed up for three weeks of swimming lessons and then a two week day camp at Sebago Lake.
We will be coming home in August for about three weeks. We have starting putting to gether a 'wish list' of things that we want to do/places to go. But the biggest thing is to be able to visit with our family and friends! We miss you all very much - hopefully this blog will facilitate more with 'keeping up' with everyone.
Please feel free to comment, send us a line or two, even to say 'Hey'.

Hi Guys,
Glad to hear that you are coping well down in Maine. Sounds like you are keeping busy.
Say 'Hi' to the kids for me and give them a big hug. How are they doing in school? Did you say 'school bus'? Gees, that is going to be an adventure.
Are you going to post pictures on your site here? Would love to see some update photos of the kids.
Take care and hopefully we can see each other in August.
Bye for now.
Shannon :)

thanks for starting up your blog!! It'll definitely be one of my favorites to check!!
Looking forward to seeing you in August. We'll probably miss part of your trip, though, as we're heading to Manitoba on Aug 23...

Hi! and yes a very wonderful way of keeping in touch. (always wondered what a blog is.....guess I have to get with it, hee hee) Well, I am know we are not your oldest friends but we cosider you dear friends that is for sure. When I think you are not just "across the bridge" anymore it saddens me.....but we know that God has bigger plans for us and "way to go" that you are "following" I am sure you will touch many hearts there as you have here...I hope we can see you in August....I WILL DO DINNER THIS TIME, just our families...if you can, save a night for us, you can even stay here, we would LOVE to have you. We love you all and wish you every blessing possible. Oh! and by the way, Jim and I were married on March 31, 2007, Pastor Mark, boy did he cry, so did I...more like rivers...we walked down to "to the river...I am going..." You have to come see pics and video, missed you not there......but we will watch it and relive and you will be....hee hee. Stay healthy and happy, and give all a hug for us. Julie, Jim, Jaelyn and Jerron
Hi Janine, Kevin, Chelsey & Alex:
Great to hear from you! Glad you're all doing well and getting to visit neighbouring areas. Have you shopped at Feeport yet? LLBean is amazing! Open 24/7/365!
Sounds like both Alex & Chelsey are doing well in school and settling in.
Hope we get to see you in August. . .maybe at Cultus Lake?

Great to hear from you guys!!! I have moved to my own place in Coquitlam, and as I was unpacking, I came across school pictures of your gorgeous children. I miss those little faces, though not so little anymore ...
Glad to hear everything is going well, let me know how the school bus goes :)
In other news, I was accepted into the MA program at UBC - of course, I found out after buying a place in Coquitlam. Looking forward to the commute.
Hopefully we can get together in August.
take care,
hilary
Hey Janine,
This is Stacy, Nancy's friend. It sounds like you guys are doing well down there. I have yet to go to Maine but I have heard it is amazing...maybe someday if Nancy comes I will tag along! I have been to Boston and New York though, and I really loved the East Coast. I pray God's blessing over you guys as you continue to settle in.
