The Thaw Is On The Way?

Aren't they cute? The kids, I mean, not the ice! Now, we'll see how long they last out there! :) It's cold!!


And this is some of what we see everyday. Like I always say, "Never a dull moment!" My truck looks so small beside this mound!

We've been keeping ourselves busy with all kinds of things lately. Chelsie started Sylvan for Math and she and Alex have started taking Karate lessons. It's fun to watch them trying to do the moves but I think it's more me knowing I'd be on the ground more often than standing!!! :)


Here's Chelsie (on the right) sparring with another little girl. Don't worry - a 'hit' is just a tap. No full on hits allowed!
And Alex with the instructor, Andy.



He doesn't quite get the whole thing about 'no hits' so thus with the instructor he will stay for awhile. :)

So, just another glimpse into our lives right now.

Hello Snow!

I know some of you think we are 'crazy' BUT this IS crazy! We were snowed in for the second weekend in a row! We got about 2 feet! and trying to dig out was not fun! Oh well, we will have fun today. It's Martin Luther King Jr. Day here so we are hanging out as a family.

I thought I would share some recent artwork.

A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words...

This is where the 'locals' go for walks, hikes, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and the like. Robinson Woods is a stunning place to take in the sights of Cape Elizabeth!!

While it was snowing earlier, I was struck by the intricate patterns God uses for His artwork. I sat in wonder as I realized again that if God planned out this snowflake, what does He have planned for each of us? Wow!!! So thankful that I am in His care.

SNOW, SNOW, and more SNOW!!!

What do you do when it snows? We go outside and make the most of it!!! Chelsie's got the snowboarding thing down pretty good. I've tried but my backside is mainly on the ground! She even tried downhill skies too.


Alex, on the other hand, loves running around, sledding and eating the white stuff! And yes, it's all white!!!

Brrr...It's Cold!

Yes, that's the beach you are looking at!

We have started out 2009 on the chilly side of winter. Today was snow and freezing rain. So thankful to be inside where it is nice and warm. :)

Just been busy running around getting lots of little errands done now that the kids are back in school. It's nice to back into a routine again. Now if only my housework would take care of itself! :)
