New Skates and a Hockey Puck!

Oh yeah! We had fun today!! After church and lunch, we went and bought Chelsie a pair of skates! We've been talking about this for quite some time. Alex and skates don't 'mix', so when he found some brightly colored hockey pucks, he got to choose the color he wanted - RED! A man after my own heart! :)

There is a local pond about a mile away from our place - Mill Creek - and every year when it's frozen over, it becomes the local hang out. The best part is that Kevin, Janine and Alex didn't have to wear skates to be on the ice. We took a thermos of coffee for us big kids :) and some water for the smaller ones. That kept us warm and happy while Chelsie and Alex had a blast checking out the ice and snow.

My boys playing hockey and Chelsie trying out her new gear.

My turn with the hockey stick! Chels taking a break.

My cutie pies!

Now it's 'Date Night'. Hope you all have a great rest of the day!

Wow...that looks great!! The boys (including Howie) will be soooo jealous! An outdoor rink only a mile away?! What a blessing for your family. The adventures you have been having in Maine will be memories that the kids will take with them all through their lives.

I posted a comment to the comment you left on your last posting. You mentioned you don't know how all this works with comments. As I have observed it...it seems like the current posting receives comments until that thread is complete...you'll know. But keep checking the current posting and the previous one for new comments...just in case. Anyway...hopefully we can make it work because it will be a great way to keep in touch!

Make sure you give our love to the kids...and Kevin too!

Love, Camille XO

P.S. If you want to keep things simple at your end...feel free to answer questions linked to a previous posting on the current one. Whatever you like...it's your blog...you are the manager! :)
